Vista del Lago scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 79-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hemet Bulldogs. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Ravens still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Vista del Lago still got an impressive performance from Ja'Marion Jackson, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points in addition to six boards and five assists. Jackson's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinton Jinna-Smith, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points.

Jackson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Vista del Lago was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Hemet's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Matthew Torres, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. Quinton Skinner was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Vista del Lago has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points per game. As for Hemet, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-2.

Vista del Lago didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-50 win against Paloma Valley on the 30th. As for Hemet, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-38 victory against Citrus Hill on the 30th.
