Volleyball Recap: Centerville Now 12-1 over Last 13 Games

Centerville won the last time they faced Jonathan Alder and things went their way on Saturday too. The Elks had just enough and edged out the Pioneers 2-1.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (69-68) Centerville actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-21, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Jonathan Alder lost, don't look at Raegan Tremayne. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two assists.

Centerville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Jonathan Alder, with the defeat, they broke their 17-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-2.

Centerville and Jonathan Alder should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Elks (ranked 75th) will meet Beavercreek (ranked 213th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jonathan Alder will challenge London at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 187).
