Recap: West Sabine Tigers vs. Joaquin Rams
The West Sabine Tigers pushed their score all the way to 40 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Joaquin by a score of 43-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Sabine in their matchups with Joaquin: they've now lost three in a row.
Gauge Jordan was on fire for Joaquin: he rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Jordan was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Dallon Jordan and his 93 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Joaquin's victory.
West Sabine has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Joaquin, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Sabine will take on Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Joaquin will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centerville at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th.
