Dobson is 8-2 against Skyline since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. Dobson has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Dobson lost 17-1 to Tolleson on Monday.

Meanwhile, Skyline made easy work of Mesa on Tuesday and carried off an 18-7 win. With that victory, the Coyotes brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Kaleigha Clytus made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off seven hits. Clytus was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Deena Lopez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with five runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendall Dasti, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and one stolen base.

Skyline is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-19 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Dobson, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Skyline's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dobson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Skyline, though, as they've only averaged .220. Will they be able to contain Dobson's hitters?
