Basketball Game Preview: McClatchy Lions vs. Grant Pacers

McClatchy hasn't had much luck against Grant recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The McClatchy Lions will venture away from home to challenge the Grant Pacers at 7:30 p.m. McClatchy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.8 points per game this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when McClatchy duked it out withWest Park on Wednesday. McClatchy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to West Park.

The losing side was boosted by Kai Bradford, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eugene Castillo, who posted eight points.

Antelope typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Grant proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Titans 58-55. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pacers.

Grant's record now sits at 12-5. As for McClatchy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

McClatchy was dealt a bruising 78-51 defeat at the hands of Grant in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can McClatchy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
