New Hanover gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jack Britt Buccaneers 71-39. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Buccaneers, too.
Rodmik Allen had an outrageously good game as he went 8 for 13 en route to 19 points plus four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ny'Zion Ballard, who went 7 for 10 en route to 14 points.
New Hanover was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jack Britt only racked up three.
Jack Britt's loss dropped their record down to 1-2.
New Hanover will face off against Miller School of Albemarle at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jack Britt, they will be playing at home against Pinecrest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
