Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hill Oaks vs. Valley Indians

The Oak Hill Oaks will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Valley Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Oak Hill in a 59-42 victory over Green. The Oaks pushed the score to 45-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Valley didn't have too much trouble with South Gallia on Tuesday as they won 63-46. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Rebels are ranked 623rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Oak Hill, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Oak Hill came up short against Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 52-44. Can Oak Hill avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
