Basketball Recap: St. Charles Comes Up Short

St. Charles lost against Orchard Farm two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The St. Charles Pirates fell to the Orchard Farm Eagles 65-60. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Eagles are ranked 97th).

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Orchard Farm, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

St. Charles will head out on the road to take on Warrenton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orchard Farm, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolla at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Rolla sitting on four straight wins and Orchard Farm on seven.
