Recap: Thunder Mountain Falcons vs. Ketchikan Kings
The Thunder Mountain Falcons had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They took down Ketchikan 52-33. Given Thunder Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Ketchikan is ranked 59th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Kings players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bree Johnson, who scored ten points. Kari Klinger was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Thunder Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Ketchikan, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thunder Mountain will take on Colony at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ketchikan, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Juneau-Douglas at 7:15 p.m.
