Basketball Recap: South Shore International Falls Short of Chicago Marshall in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact South Shore International can now relate to. They were dealt a 60-22 loss at the hands of the Chicago Marshall Commandos on Monday. The Tars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-17.

Chicago Marshall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiyah Green out in front who went 8 for 17 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The match was Green's third in a row with at least 16 points. Kayla Augustyn was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists.

South Shore International's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Chicago Marshall, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-6.

As of now, neither South Shore International nor Chicago Marshall have any future games scheduled.
