Basketball Recap: Jones Takes a Loss

Jones and Nazareth Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Jones had to settle for second. They were dealt a 64-21 defeat at the hands of the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while the Roadrunners are ranked fourth).

Jones' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Nazareth Academy, the victory was the 22nd in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 30-2.

Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nazareth Academy, they will square off against Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hinsdale Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Nazareth Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
