It may have taken  nine innings to finish the job, but Gaffney ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Wednesday. They won by a  run and slipped past the Chapman Panthers  5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  victory the Indians have posted  since March 15th.
Gaffney has  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for Chapman,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-5.
 Looking ahead, Gaffney will take on Boiling Springs at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Chapman, they will square off against Broome at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Centurions at the right time seeing as the Centurions are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
