Basketball Recap: Minneapolis Takes a Loss

Minneapolis lost against Beloit back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Minneapolis Lions fell to the Beloit Trojans 46-40.

Beloit's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Budke led the charge by dropping a double-double with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Budke is becoming a predictor of Beloit's success: when she posts at least ten boards the team is 8-3 (and 2-5 when she doesn't). Cassandra Thompson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds.

Minneapolis' loss dropped their record down to 10-8-1. As for Beloit, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Minneapolis has already played their next game (against Lyons), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Beloit, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Smith Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
