Soccer Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Geneva was not quite John Paul II's equal in the second half on Monday. They fell just short of the John Paul II Guardians by a score of 2-1. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 1-3-2. As for John Paul II, they pushed their record up to 11-4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Geneva wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against San Marcos Academy on the 15th. As for John Paul II, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Holy Cross on the 16th.
