Softball Recap: Swanton Takes a Loss

If Swanton was riding high fresh off their 21-9 takedown of Wauseon on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bulldogs lost 13-1 to the Northview Wildcats on Saturday. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Swanton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lacey Shinaver, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Swanton has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Northview, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-6-1.

Looking ahead, Swanton will take on Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northview, they will square off against Southview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
