Basketball Recap: Bowie Now 12-3 over Last 15 Games

Bowie lost to Bonham back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bowie Jackrabbits took down the Bonham Warriors 53-39. Given the Jackrabbits' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Warriors are ranked 687th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rayder Mann was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points. Bradly Horton was another key player, posting ten points.

Bonham's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jk Wilson, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Wilson has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Brae Gorman, who had seven points.

Bowie has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points per game. As for Bonham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Bowie will host City View at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bonham, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-36 win against Nocona on the 28th.
