Southeast Raleigh waltzed into their matchup on Monday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They really took it to the Fuquay - Varina Bengals for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-28 win. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Bengals are ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeast Raleigh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jada Rhodes out in front who posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave Rhodes a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Trinity Dunn, who scored 12 points.

Southeast Raleigh pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.1 points over those games. As for Fuquay - Varina, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.
