Briarwood Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 32-7 margin over the Central Fellowship Christian Academy Lancers on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Buccaneers also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2019.

Briarwood Academy was led to victory by Charlie Mosley and Cutler Fleming. Mosley rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, while Fleming threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 passes.

Briarwood Academy wouldn't let Central Fellowship Christian Academy keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Carson Callaway, Sawyer Thigpen, and Mason Thigpen picked up one apiece.
