Basketball Game Preview: Richmond Hill Wildcats vs. Camden County Wildcats

The Richmond Hill Wildcats will square off against the Camden County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richmond Hill will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Richmond Hill beat Colquitt County 47-42.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Camden County). They breezed by First Coast to the tune of 87-13 on Saturday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Camden County's win came from a few key players Richmond Hill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mahliya Reeder, who posted 12 points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Josalyn Kerbo, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Camden County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 30 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 17 consecutive contests.

Richmond Hill's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Camden County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Richmond Hill didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Camden County when the teams last played on January 7th, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory.
