Volleyball Game Preview: Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate vs. Desert Pines Jaguars

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon hasn't had much luck against Desert Pines recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Pirate will square off against the Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's tournament run continued when they took on Eldorado on Saturday. The Pirate took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firehawks.

Meanwhile, Desert Pines didn't have quite enough to beat Western on Thursday and fell 3-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Desert Pines wouldn't go down easily and took Western into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-16, 21-25, 12-25, 15-11.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Desert Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.
