Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Generals vs. Lexington Christian Eagles
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ballard, Lafayette was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lexington Christian Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Lafayette's got stronger as the match went on, holding Lexington Christian to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23, 25-19.
Audrey Gossett paced Lafayette's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gossett got some help from Elise Trimble and her 34 assists. Carli Dotson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Sarah Biliter and Sophia Gorshak certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Biliter had nine digs and two assists, while Gorshak had six digs.
