Volleyball Recap: Ridgway Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ridgway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dolores Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Demons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-11, 25-9.

Ridgway's offense was headlined by Ava Berwanger and Madison Megahee, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Sasha Kingsford and her four assists. Finally, Berwanger was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Ridgway's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Dolores, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ridgway is set to square off against their familiar foe Nucla at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dolores will face off against rival Mancos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
