Baseball Game Preview: Simsboro Tigers vs. Choudrant Aggies

Simsboro hasn't had much luck against Choudrant recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. Simsboro will take on Choudrant at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Simsboro's last matchup with Zwolle could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. Simsboro lost 11-1 to Zwolle.

Simsboro saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maximus Lee, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Choudrant unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Maurepas by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Aggies have suffered against the Wolves since April 15, 2017.

Cash Camp was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Cam Bagwell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Simsboro's record now sits at 11-10-1. As for Choudrant, their record is now 7-12.

Simsboro couldn't quite get it done against Choudrant when the teams last played on March 5th as they fell 4-1. Can Simsboro avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
