Basketball Recap: Langford Takes a Loss

Langford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Wilmot Wolves, falling 68-40. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-52 back in December of 2024.

Kassen Keough and Jacob Samson certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Keough went 8 for 19 on his way to 25 points and four steals, while Samson posted 12 points. That was a full 62.5% of Langford's points, marking the eighth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

Langford's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Wilmot, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-13.

Coming up, Langford will be playing in front of their home fans against Faulkton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Wilmot, they will head out on the road to square off against Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] at 7:30 p.m. on February 18th.
