Soccer Game Preview: West Ridge vs. Jackson County

The West Ridge Wolves will square off against the Jackson County Blue Devils at 8:40 p.m. on Friday. West Ridge's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

West Ridge took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Gate City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. West Ridge's defense stepped up to hand Gate City a 1-0 shutout on Monday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jackson County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against Upperman on Tuesday as Jackson County made off with a 6-1 victory. Jackson County haven't had any issues with Upperman recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

West Ridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-2. As for Jackson County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
