It was a good run, but  Livermore unfortunately witnessed the end of their  five-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Granada Matadors by a score of  3-2. The Cowboys were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Matadors from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
 Kaci Norton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 At the plate,  Laine Macosky made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI.  Eliza Gerochi was another key player,  scoring a  run while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
Livermore's  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Granada, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Livermore will host Dublin  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Cowboys are facing the Gaels at the right time seeing as the Gaels are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Granada, they will welcome Amador Valley  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Matadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 6.5  runs per game this season.
