Riverview's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Blake Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Driston Marino tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jan Carlos Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He also brought in three RBI, which is notable because Riverview is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 4-8 otherwise. Gabe Boltz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Riverview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Riverview's record is now 7-8. As for Blake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Riverview will be taking part in a tournament against Tampa Bay Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverview is facing Tampa Bay Tech at the right time seeing as Tampa Bay Tech is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Blake, they will take on Freedom in a tournament on Tuesday. Freedom will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
