Softball Recap: Bonneville Victorious

Bonneville never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Idaho Falls Tigers by a score of 4-0. The Bees have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Gracie Longhurst made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Longhurst wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Paige Bourgeois, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Bourgeois has posted since back in March.

Bonneville's record now sits at 13-9. As for Idaho Falls, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Bonneville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
