Soccer Recap: Ventura Takes a Loss

Ventura's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Oxnard Yellowjackets by a score of 1-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ventura's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-2. As for Oxnard, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ventura has already played their next contest (against San Marcos), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oxnard will face off against Pacifica at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Oxnard's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
