Softball Recap: Tottenville Pirates vs. Curtis Warriors
Tottenville waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 6-5 W against the Curtis Warriors. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.
Veronica Broadbent spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, Amanda Reyes was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Jakubauskas, who scored two runs and stole three bases.
