Basketball Game Preview: Habersham Central Raiders vs. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the Habersham Central Raiders will jump right back in to play the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, Habersham Central lost to Alcovy on the road by a 56-39 margin.

Meanwhile, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 54-31 victory. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 341st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. As for Habersham Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Habersham Central came up short against Rabun Gap-Nacoochee in their previous matchup last Tuesday, falling 45-38. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's Inga Patrzalek, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 16 points and eight rebounds.
