Recap: West Phoenix Eagles vs. Imagine Prep Storm
The West Phoenix Eagles suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Imagine Prep on the road and fell 62-8. West Phoenix has not had much luck with Imagine Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Imagine Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiona Allen out in front who scored 24 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Ernsberger, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
West Phoenix has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Imagine Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
West Phoenix will be playing in front of their home fans against Western SciTech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Western SciTech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Phoenix in Arizona (Western SciTech is ranked 64th, while West Phoenix is ranked 214th). As for Imagine Prep, they will head out on the road to take on BASIS - Peoria at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
