Baseball Recap: Eisenhower Knights vs. Seneca Bobcats

Eisenhower extended their losing streak to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-13 in the process. They came up short against the Seneca Bobcats, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-3 back in April.

As for Seneca, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Seneca's part, Jared Gladitz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Seneca is 2-1 when Gladitz allows three or fewer hits, but 2-12 otherwise. Gladitz was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Seneca got a massive performance out of Kendall Yosten, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Yosten is becoming a predictor of the Bobcats' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 2-12 when he doesn't). Nick Sturdivant also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
