Softball Recap: Ranburne Comes Up Short

Ranburne and Southeastern squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ranburne had to settle for second. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-2 loss on Tuesday.

Ranburne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubie Rollins, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Ranburne's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-15. As for Southeastern, they pushed their record up to 19-12 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.

Ranburne has already played their next game, a 9-3 victory against Vincent on the 29th. Hopefully Southeastern paid attention to the Bulldogs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs.
