Baseball Recap: Port Gibson Takes a Loss

Port Gibson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 15-0 to the Wesson Cobras. The game marked the first time this season in which the Blue Waves were not able to get on the board.

Port Gibson's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Wesson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Port Gibson will face off against rival South Pike at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Wesson is set to square off against their familiar foe Franklin County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
