Preview: Meeker Bulldogs vs. Oklahoma Christian Saints
Two dominant signal callers in Treyvon Compton and Garret Wilson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Meeker Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Oklahoma Christian Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Meeker entered their tilt with Star-Spencer with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Meeker simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Star-Spencer 59-24 at home. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Meeker just coasted through the last quarter.
Meeker's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Compton, who threw for 291 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and Ajay Lynch, who gained 238 total yards and four touchdowns. Lynch has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. Keagan Edmonds and his 95 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Meeker's win.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma Christian was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Chisholm 48-18 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oklahoma Christian.
Meeker is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Oklahoma Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
