Basketball Game Preview: American Prep WV Eagles vs. Rowland Hall Winged Lions

American Prep WV is 1-9 against Rowland Hall since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The American Prep WV Eagles are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Rowland Hall Winged Lions at 5:30 p.m.

American Prep WV is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They took a blow against Intermountain Christian, falling 53-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rowland Hall). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams 70-4. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.

American Prep WV better keep an eye on Lily Jaffe. She was instrumental in Rowland Hall's win, putting up 19 points. Those 19 points gave Jaffe a new career-high. Yara Bailey was another key player, posting ten points.

American Prep WV's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rowland Hall, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

American Prep WV might still be hurting after the 30-8 loss they got from Rowland Hall in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can American Prep WV avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
