Basketball Game Preview: Rosman Tigers vs. Madison Patriots

Rosman is 1-6 against Madison since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Rosman Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Madison Patriots at 7:30 p.m.

Rosman is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They were dealt a 75-27 defeat at the hands of Mountain Heritage. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-15.

Meanwhile, Madison posted their biggest victory since January 5, 2024 on Friday. They breezed by NCSSM: Morganton to the tune of 66-28.

Rosman better keep an eye on Gavin Gault. He was instrumental in Madison's win, going 8 for 13 on his way to 22 points. The game was Gault's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Buck Robinson, who went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points and seven boards.

Madison has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Rosman, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Rosman was taken down by Madison 68-40 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Gault, who went 11 for 22 on his way to 29 points and six rebounds.
