Basketball Recap: Licking Heights Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked Bishop Watterson

On Monday, the Licking Heights Hornets didn't have too much trouble with the Bishop Watterson Eagles as they won 52-38. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Hornets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Eagles are ranked tenth).

Licking Heights has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Bishop Watterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Licking Heights will venture away from home to square off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Watterson has already played their next game (against St. Charles), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
