Volleyball Recap: Manitou Springs Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Manitou Springs was the 3-1 winner over Thomas MacLaren School when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Manitou Springs wouldn't go down easily and took Thomas MacLaren School into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 16-25, 15-11.

Nadia Falton paced Manitou Springs' offense, picking up 15 kills. Falton got some help from Natalie Gore and her 24 assists. Aleia McBride controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Layla Lucero was nothing short of spectacular for Thomas MacLaren School: she had 24 digs. Those 24 digs gave Lucero a new career-high.

Manitou Springs has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will welcome La Junta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thomas MacLaren School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
