Baseball Recap: Erie Takes a Loss

Erie was the 13-3 winner over Silver Creek when they last played one another back in May of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 6-3 to the Raptors on Tuesday.

Erie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Burnett, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Silver Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erie will take on Broomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Silver Creek, they will face off against Longmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Raptors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
