Football Recap: Basalt Triumphs

If Delta wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Basalt, they should've done a better job of containing Will Tarallo. The Longhorns enjoyed a cozy 14-0 victory over the Panthers on Friday with plenty of help from Tarallo, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of TDs. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 53 yards.

The win got Basalt back to even at 3-3. As for Delta, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Basalt is set to square off against their familiar foe Coal Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Longhorns 13.7, the Titans 11) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Delta will take on rival Aspen at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
