Volleyball Recap: Madison Beats New Albany for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Madison had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the New Albany Bulldogs. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win last Monday.

Madison walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-11.

Branson Cline paced Madison's offense, picking up nine kills. Cline got some help from Aiden Smith and his 22 assists. Cline and Smith didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Madison's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for New Albany, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Madison is set to take on their familiar foe Shelbyville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, New Albany will square off against rival Floyd Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
