James Lujan and Jussiah Sanchez provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Hanover. The connection was good for 66 yards, the longest such play in A-6 Southwest (6 Man) this season.
The Hornets added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Primero, 46-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
The Bulldogs' dynamic duo of Lujan and Jonah Bollinger proved tough for Luke Decker's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lujan threw for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns and Bollinger had 134 yards receiving. Sanchez helped Primero's passing attack out by catching 15 balls for 111 yards.
Primero's dynamic duo of Lujan and Bollinger proved to be unstoppable against the Hornets, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Erick Ijams was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 189 yards on 16 carries as Hanover fell to Hanover. Teammate Cody Kaza added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
Lujan put up the best numbers through the air as the Bulldogs fell to the Hornets.
Bollinger was the best wideout in A-6 Southwest (6 Man) this week as Primero fell to Hanover.
He went 23-38 with 1 interception.
The Bulldogs' Lujan and Sanchez have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lujan has thrown for 932 yards this season, while Sanchez, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 42 catches for 486 yards. Alex Berger from Cotopaxi leads the league in rushing with 631 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind takes on Primero. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in fourth, while the Bulldogs are in third.
Primero lost to the Hornets 46-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lujan was a bright spot for the Bulldogs, as he ran for 41 yards in the defeat.
