Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aquinas). They never let the East Dragons get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Monday.
Jocelyn Powell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Annabelle Davies was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaida Mohr-Roberts, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
