Volleyball Recap: Brookings Comes Up Short

Brookings was the 3-1 winner over Mitchell when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kernels on Saturday.

Leading Mitchell to victory were Kenna Soulek and Londyn Hajek. Soulek had seven digs and four assists, while Hajek had four digs.

Brookings now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mitchell, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Brookings didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Spearfish on the 30th. As for Mitchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Dell Rapids on the 30th.
