Softball Recap: Nature Coast Tech Takes a Loss

Nature Coast Tech lost against Citrus back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sharks took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kamryn Ross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nature Coast Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kassie Figueroa, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Nature Coast Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Citrus, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nature Coast Tech will square off against Hudson at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Citrus, they will host Belleview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
