Football Game Preview: Union Local Jets vs. Africentric Early College Nubians

The Union Local Jets will head out on the road to challenge the Africentric Early College Nubians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Union Local 12.4, Africentric Early College 13.3) so any points scored will be well earned.

Union Local is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Barnesville just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against the Shamrocks, falling 34-0. The Jets were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the five games prior), but the Shamrocks' defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Africentric Early College ended up a good deal behind Eastmoor Academy on Friday and lost 28-14.

Union Local will have to keep a close watch on Will Carlisle Jr and Caleb Anthony, a pair of players who had a big impact on Africentric Early College's prior game. Carlisle Jr rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Anthony rushed for 78 yards on only seven carries.

Union Local's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Africentric Early College, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
