Volleyball Recap: Kambree Walters and Madison Loy Secure Win for Botkins

Botkins hadn't done well against Fairlawn recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Trojans blew past the Jets 3-0. The Trojans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Jets, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Botkins not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fairlawn between 17 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Botkins was led to victory by Madison Loy and Kambree Walters. Loy had 17 digs and two aces, while Walters had 17 digs. That's the most digs Loy has posted since back in October of 2024.

Botkins' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fairlawn, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Botkins and Fairlawn will both be playing Anna the next time they take the court. The Jets will head out to face the Rockets on Saturday, while the Trojans will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
