Volleyball Recap: Kambree Walters and Madison Loy Secure Win for Botkins

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Loramie, Botkins was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Fairlawn Jets as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Trojans were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Jets, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Botkins not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Fairlawn between 17 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.

Botkins was led to victory by Madison Loy and Kambree Walters. Loy had 17 digs and two aces, while Walters had 17 digs. That's the most digs Walters has posted since back in October of 2024.

Botkins' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Fairlawn, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Botkins will host Anna at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairlawn, they will head out on the road to take on Lehman Catholic at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
