Basketball Game Preview: Bethel Christian Academy Trojans vs. Living Water Christian Warriors

Bethel Christian Academy is 0-7 against Living Water Christian since December of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Bethel Christian Academy Trojans are taking a road trip to challenge the Living Water Christian Warriors at 7:45 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Thursday, Bethel Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 67-61 to Scotland Christian Academy. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Living Water Christian came up short against New Bern two weeks ago and fell 67-59.

Bethel Christian Academy will need focus on slowing down Dwight Hooker, one of several Living Water Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He went 7 of 14 en route to 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Hooker a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds.

Bethel Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Living Water Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Bethel Christian Academy was taken down by Living Water Christian 72-26 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Bethel Christian Academy, Bo Koebbe (who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
